Description
Summary:Previous research reported that bunch spraying method could improve the

biomass and quality of plants from Aracaceae. Thus, this research aimed to

investigate the effect of nutrition application toward the biomass and the quality

of palm oil fruit. For this, KNO3 (1% and 2%) was sprayed towards the palm oil

fruit bunch every months for five times. The results showed that KNO3 has No.

effect on fruit lenght, diameter, mass, mesocarp weight, kernel weight, oil yield,

free fatty acid content and beta carotene content compared with those in controls.

Therefore, the research conclude that KNO3 spraying in palm oil fruit bunch is not

recommended to improve fruit characteristics, oil yield and CPO quality of palm

oil.
