Furthermore, this research simulates the use of special stopping space which performance indicator that will be observed are travel time, delay, and motorcycle occupancy. <br /> <br /> <br /> The microsimulation model in this study is developed using VISSIM 9 software, version 9.007. Its result for junction coordination scenario yields from 34 seconds become 23 seconds for existing offset correction. Coordinated junction performance, with queue length as its parameter, shows improvement on Cikapayang Junction particularly for the northern approach, ranging from 19.90% to 21.24% of the average queue length and maximum queue length. On the other hand, the fluctuation was occurred on another approach between 3%-10%. The queue length in Sulanjana Junction, particularly on eastern approach decreased by 12.19% for average queue length and 13.30% for maximum queue length. On the western approach, the average queue length increased by 0.60% while the maximum queue length decreased by 8.73%. The average queue length and maximum queue length for northern approach increased by 2.97% and 2.76% respectively. For the southern approach, the average queue length and maximum queue length decreased by 3.37% and 9.13% consecutively. <br /> <br /> <br /> The modelling result for the use of special stopping space for motorcycle show the correlation between special stopping space dimension with motorcycle occupancy, delay, and traffic flow. Based on the modelling results, the special stopping space only affected the delay of private car, where the longer special stopping space dimension, the delay of private car will be greater, while the private car flow will be fewer. Furthermore, the model indicated the insignificant impact for the motorcycle because of the model developed only constructed the rule of the stop line for special stopping space not the priority space for the motorcycle. Besides, the behavior of motorcycle user could not be perfectly constructed in the model. text |
