Summary: | West Java Province and Kuningan City can produce many Ipomea Batatas. The high produce can make agricultural waste. Agricultural waste are leave, stem and root. In leaves of Ipomea Batatas have 8,82% carbohidrat. The carbohidrat can make cellulose by extraction dan nanocellulose by hydrolysis. Nanocellulose can make gel mask. This paper is focus to synthesis of materials for gel mask application and hope can controll the active substance release. The step of this research are cellulose isolation, cellulose hydrolysis, gel mask making, mechanical test, SEM and UV-Vis Spectroscopy. The hydrolysis of cellulose use H2SO4 by heating and stirring. PVA 15% is main substance for make the gel mask. The result mechanical test is increase with increase nanocellulose content. Visible light is scattered in surface of sampel when characterization by UV-Vis Spectroscopy. The morphology of surface is closed when SEM characterization. |
