STUDY OF THE EFFECT OF WELDING ON CORROSION BEHAVIOR OF API 5L X65 USING POLARIZATION AND IMMERSION METHODS

The most common type of pipe is metal pipe due to its high strength and ductility, but usually metal pipe are produced in 6m size so that a welding method is needed to connect each pipe, but the welding method can causes the micro structure changes in the welding area. The changes in microstructure...

The parent metal is the region having the lowest corrosion rate among the other welded regions. From the results of immersion testing it is seen that the type of corrosion that occurs in all welding areas is uniform corrosion. text
