RETRACEMENT AND RECONSTRUCTION OF LAND BOUNDARIES (CASE STUDY: BANDUNG REGENCY)

The disappearance land boundary is one of the things that can eliminate the legal certainty from the object of land rights. Retracing and reconstructing land boundaries needs to be done in order to regain the legal certainty from the object of land rights. Application of mapping survey method in terms of retracing and reconstructing the boundary plot of land performed by interviewing the interviewees namely the land owner, village chief of Cipanjalu, and the cultivators and collecting the data related to the identity of the plot of land, which is the certificate of land ownership, gambar ukur, and the site plan map of Melati Wangi and Cipanjalu village. Then, land boundary reconstruction performed by using the combination of extraterrestrial positioning method using Global Positioning System (GPS)/Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) technology and terrestrial positioning using polar method. Retracement and reconstruction of a land boundary resulted a plot of land with different location, boundary, and area.
