Summary: | In 2005 Cisomang Bridge was built that located at KM 100 + 695 – KM 100 + 947 Cipularang toll road that connecting the city of Jakarta and Bandung. However in 2012, there was spotted some movement of the soil that cause a 57 cm displacement at 2nd pier from a total six pier of the bridge. The movement of pier was also followed by crack of concrete to some parts of bridge’s structure. This condition of cracked pier is surely become a problem that need to be handled, becacuse if the crack is growing much bigger then there will be some possibility the failure will be happening to the Cisomang Bridge. And it will surely become the threat to all of the users of Cisomang Bridge. Therefore in this Final Project, writer will analyze the existing condition of the Cisomang Bridge to know the level of damage that actually happening in field. And also to know how far the bridge still can move before finally fail and collapse. This problem will be analyzed to observe the actual moment of the bridge in the field. The Axial force from MIDAS will be used to find moment-curvature diagram by using XTRACT. Curvature will also known with displacement about 50 cm. Then plot curvature to moment-curvature diagram to get the actual moment that happening in the existing condition, and count the effect from P-?. The comparison between actual moment and ultimate moment is 0,93. It indicated that the Cisomang Bridge is still in safe condition, but the improvement still need to be done to minimalize the possibility of failure. |
