Summary: | Jababeka Film Institute is a semi-fiction project based on Indonesia Movieland masterplan by PT. Jababeka, Tbk. The main purpose of the establishment of this

institution is to become a pillar of Indonesian cinema education that is expected to support the realization of the Government's creative economy. With the establishment of this Jababeka Film Institute, it is certainly possible that the frequency of activities in the area will increase, so the demand for transportation

services is higher, especially parking.

Parking is a temporary state of a vehicle. In the process of designing the parking facilities, we need to think about the balance between demand (the need of the

number of parking) and the supply (the amount of parking available), so that parking area can be used efficiently and does not cause problems for other activities. The purpose of this report is to determine the demand of parking spaces, to evaluate the supply and demand parking, to design the parking layout and its management

also to design the pavement and road network within the region.

The methods of parking demand analysis used in this report are based on primary data (survey observation) and secondary data (manual guidance on determining

parking needs). The final result of the analysis shows that the number of parking lots required in Jababeka Film School is 297 units for cars and 436 units for

motorcycles. Because there is a difference between the parking requirement and the parking capacity that has been designed by the architectural team, then we need to

redesign the parking lots to be more efficient by adding new parking areas, specially for car and modify its parking layout.

Designed parking area consists of two basement floors and three parking lots. The designed basement is 104 m x 88 m per floor and can accommodate 93 cars (1st floor), 162 cars (2nd floors) and 449 motorcycles. The basement is designed to have two types of ramp, which are straight ramp and helical/spiral ramp. Meanwhile, the

entire parking lot area can accommodate 43 cars. The circulation designed in the entire parking area is mostly a one-way circulation, to avoid conflicts between

vehicles.

To facilitate the driver better in doing movement in the area of Jababeka Film Institute, also installed 26 different signs and marks in accordance with their Parking System designed by the company Smart Parking Ltd from Scotland. Furthermore, the road network within the school area is a one-lane road with 1 lane 1 direction, there are 2 entrances and 2 exit lines with 2 inbound substations & 2 outgoing substations (for cars) as well as 1 inbound & 1 outgoing substation (for motorcycles). For the design of pavement of the parking facility itself, a flexible pavement type for a new road with 3-inch (LASTON) surface layer, upper layer foundation (Class A Rock Layer) 6 inches thick and 6-inch-thick base layer foundation (Sirtu Class B) is used. |
