Summary: | Silangit Airport is an airport in Siborong – borong city, North Tapanuli, North Sumatera. There is a big potential for tourism and economic if it is managed and developed well. In fact, the region is difficult to reach by land transportation due to the limitations of the existin infrastructure which is less able to serve long distances between regions in North Sumatera maximally.The existence of airport in Siborong – borong city is important because it supports in improving the welfare of local communities through the development of tourism and economy. Airport has two important components which are air side facilities and land side facilities.The geometry design based on International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) method and the pavement design based on Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) method using FAARFIELD program. As for land side facilities design based on SNI 03-7045-2004. The airport design resultsat the first stage are the number of departured passenger is 18684 passengers, runway length and width are respectively 2960 meters and 45 meters, taxiway width is 18 meters, apron area is 8804 m2 with a plane parallel parking configuration, the total thicknes for flexible pavement layer is 33.02 cm and for rigid pavements layer is 37.973 cm. For the design results at second stage are the number of departured passenger is 73013 passengers, runway length and width are respectively 2960 meters and 45 meters, taxiway width is 18 meters, apron area is 8804 m2 with a plane parallel parking configuration, the total thicknes for flexible pavement layer is 28.1 cm and for rigid pavements layer is 43.053 cm. The result of extensive design of the passenger terminal for the first and the second stage is 648.75 m2. |
