Description
Summary:The development of technology in the utilization of laser waves has been progressive, measuring equipment in the field of geodesy and geomatics is also growing. Terrestrial Laser Scanner (TLS) is an instrument that uses to scanning surface method using laser wave. Data are obtained from the TLS in addition to containing the value of the position, but also contains the value of intensity laser wave reflection, so it can be used as a basis in determining the interpretation of rock types. In addition, with the position of the point clouds in 3D from a rock outcrop can be obtained formations of cracks and straightness, so that it can assist in recognizing geological structure analysis of a rock outcrop. That research expected to geological analysis method uses data from TLS can be an alternative new method for the improvement of geological science in the analysis of rock types and geological structures in the future.

This research will be conducted acquisition of data, processing, analysing laser wave reflection intensity data to determine the intensity range on any type of rock and analyzing the geological structure of the research object. In data processing, the method used is registration, filtering, classification of laser wave reflection intensity values and interpretation of geological structures. This research need to be implemented in this area, because the uniqueness of the structure and layering of rocks in the region Cliffs Citatah. Data collection was performed by TLS Leica C-10 and in the region Citatah 48 and 125 Cliffs, Padalarang, West Java. Registration process is obtained total point cloud as much as 46,778,512 points on the Citatah 48 Cliffs and 106,391,139 points on the Citatah 125 Cliffs. The point on the Cliffs Citatah point cloud data is processed, so created four for intensity class consisting of rocks 1, 2, 3 and vegetation, as well as pattern geological structure that has a slope of ± 80º at the Citatah 48 Cliffs and ± 40º on Citatah 125 Cliffs.
