Summary: | Seismic Inversion Method is known as a strong method for reservoir characterization. In Seismic

Inversion, it’s possible to describe physical property for each layer. Inversion seismic is

considered better than conventional seismic methods due to the limitations of conventional

seismic that only describe the contrast at the limits of the layer. However, inversion results need

to be verified by the appearance of log data and seismic data that can be observed directly.

The elastic parameters of Young Rho Modulus is the most sensitive elastic parameters for

separating sandstone lithology from shale on this field due to its sensitivity to brittleness index

of rock. High numbers of (E-Rho) represent sand stone lithology. This elastic parameter can be

estimated with EEI ( 730 ). Elastic parameter of Lambda Rho Poisson’s Ratio (LR*PR) is the

most sensitive elastic parameters for characterization of reservoar fluids. Low number of LR*PR

represent the presence of hydrocarbon especially gas content. LR*PR parameter can be

estimated with EEI ( 360 ).

Using Extended Elastic Impedance aplication, it’s possible to estimate the reflectivity of almost

all form of elastic parameter by combine both of Vp, Vs, and density information from the

seismic prestack data and log data.Later, the reflectivity can be inverted with post stack

inversion workflow. |
