RESERVOIR CHARACTERIZATION AND HYDROCARBON RESERVES CALCULATION, INTERVAL FS 1 â FS 3, TELIGA FIELD, CENTRAL SUMATRA BASIN
Teliga Field is one of oil field in Central Sumatra Basin and has operated since 1975 with coverage area approximately 18 km2. Teliga Field has some oil-producing reservoirs in FS 1 – FS 3 interval, consists of Reservoir A1 and Reservoir B2 which are part of Bekasap Formation. The research is conduc...

INSTITUT TEKNOLOGI BANDUNG https://digilib.itb.ac.id/gdl/view/21075 Teliga Field is one of oil field in Central Sumatra Basin and has operated since 1975 with coverage area approximately 18 km2. Teliga Field has some oil-producing reservoirs in FS 1 – FS 3 interval, consists of Reservoir A1 and Reservoir B2 which are part of Bekasap Formation. The research is conducted to determine the facies distribution, depositional environment, petrophysical properties distribution, and hydrocarbon reserves calculation (original oil in place). The data used in this research are core, laboratory report, 2D seismic data, and well log data from 14 wells in the research area. The result of core analysis showed that the FS 1 – FS 3 interval consisted of sandstone and claystone lithofacies. Integration of core, electrofacies, and trace fossil analysis, it is known that the FS 1 – FS 3 interval was deposited in tidal-dominated estuarine environment. Reservoir A1 and Reservoir B2 are tidal sand bar facies association with northeast – southwest depositional trend. The result of petrophysical analysis showed that Reservoir A1 has average value of petrophysical properties of volume of shale 51%, effective porosity 14%, effective water saturation 66%, and permeability 32 mD. The result of petrophysical analysis of Reservoir B2 showed the average value of petrophysical properties of volume of shale 41%, effective porosity 18%, effective water saturation 64%, and permeability 79 mD. The hydrocarbon reserves calculation of Reservoir A1 is 3 – 9 MMbbl, and reserves calculation of Reservoir B2 is 9 – 35 MMbbl. The priority location for the development of this field is located in the eastern part of the research area (Area T) with a total reserves of 5.48 MMbbl. text |
