| Summary: | In accordance with the mandate of the 1945 Constitutions, the government acts as a facilitator and regulator that must ensure the food needs for its residents. Food security is a condition of food provisioning that become major concern for the government and must be monitored to ensure that the residents not in a state of hunger or threatened by hunger. However at present, there is no way to monitor on a point of view that is focusing on food fulfillment condition for the country and the existence of various perspectives on food security information can be disruptive in the creation of national food security. To solve these problems, the creation of standart information of food security is needs to be done. In addition, continuous monitoring of vital signs of food security are required, so that the policymakers can monitor the food security condition and formulate appropriate policy on food fulfillment. Statistics Indonesia is a non-ministerial government agencies that provide services to the provision of statistical data and information. One of the duties and responsibilities of Statistics Indonesia is the availability of data and statistical information on the agricultural sector that is complete, accurate, and timely. Data and information regarding food security is very necessary for some parties, such as the President of the Republic of Indonesia, the Ministry of Agriculture, House of Representatives, Bank of Indonesia, and many other parties. <br />

In this research, reformulation and information extraction regarding theories and concepts of food security from various sources have been done, which resulted as the concepts, dimensions, and food security indicators that is contain vital information on food security such as food availability, food equity, and food sustainable. The research method that is used in this research is DSRM (Design Science Research Method for Information System Research). The test result indicate that the generated indicator have been in accordance with the result of reformulation, so it can be as the monitoring instrument of food security dashboard. For the design of the dashboard, the test result indicate that the proposed dashboard is appropriate for food security monitoring activities. |
