This study aims to determine the sea breeze flow conditions that can cause pollutants in Jakarta with a high level of emissions that can spread to the city of Bogor and lead to high concentrations in that region. The timing of the research done by selecting the dry season of 2012, from July to October 2012. Selection of the sea breeze by using sea breeze filtering method and the method of selection day meridional winds with the synoptic flow conditions vary which may affect the flow of sea breeze. Selection results obtained three studies based on different dates synoptic flow leading onshore or offshore surface, which is dated July 3, 2012, August 20, 2012, and 11 September 2012.Simulation of sea breeze circulation using numerical weather models mesoscale MM5 with input data derived with reanalysis data from the National Center for Environmental Prediction - Final Analysis (NCEP - FNL) resolution of 1° ( ~ 111 km )which is taken on the dates of the selection results. Simulation of the spreading of pollutants carried by air quality models TAQM using meteorological data from the results of the model MM5 and data emission rate calculated based on the number of vehicles on the main road in the area of the Jakarta - Bogor . <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> The simulation resultfrom MM5 shows the sea breeze in the second case dated August 20, 2012 when the leading onshore wind can produces a weak sea breeze flow more vigorous than the other two dates. Simulation result using the spreading of pollutants TAQM also indicate when a strong sea breeze flow in the second case, the pollutants in the Jakarta - Bogor can spread up to a distance of approximately 50 km to the south from the north coast of Jakarta area or around the city of Bogor and cause CO concentrations high in the region up to 5 ppm at night . Conversely, when the flow of weak sea breeze on July 3, 2012 and 11 September 2012, a maximum concentration of the pollutants are still concentrated in Jakarta . text |
