Summary:Bandung was selected as a Center of National Activity (Pusat Kegiatan Nasional) in the national urban system. Bandung is not only chosen as a Center of National Activity, but also became a core city of Bandung Raya. As the city’s core, it makes Bandung development more rapidly and pushing Bandung to create another city centre. East Bandung, was chosen as a second city centre, and also in the local regulation of Bandung number 10 (2015) states that SWK Gedebage was elected as the Technopoles Area. Gedebage Technopoles Area is the area or city that supports collaboration between academia, financiers, and the government who has a goal to increasing the economy productivity based on technology and informations. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Gedebage Technopoles Area is a big project and became a pioneer in the development of East Bandung area. The new centres of activity will be built in this area such as housing, offices, economic centres, and even technology development centre. Responding to the current problems of East Bandung, one of them is the problem of transportation. Considering the potential for development in Gedebage Technopoles Area makes East Bandung Transportation system a priority of their plan. Researcher was interested to know the public preferences of public transportation for Gedebage Technopoles Area. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> In this research, researcher use quantitative methode. Source of data obtained through questionnaires distribute in Gedebage community with probability sampling techniques, government agencies, and observation. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> The study findings are the availability of transportation facilities and infrastructure serving Gedebage sub-district is still very low. From 100 samples of Gedebage community, no one using public transportation for their daily activity for now. The calculation of gravity model shows the most movement between District of Gedebage with District of Cicendo counted 34,030 movement person/day. Finally the researcher can conclude that Gedebage needs the new public transportation for serving Gedebage Technopoles Area. Route of that public transportation leads to Cicendo sub-district as the most movements. The order of transportation services from the most needed by the community is convenience, tariff, timeliness, ease of access, security and completeness of facilities. The new planned public transportation system is a 30 person capacity bus. There are two routes, first is Gedebage - Cicendo via Soekarno Hatta and second is Gedebage - Cicendo via Gedung Sate with the required fleet adapted to scenario 40%, 50%, and 60% of the total passengers are 17, 21, and 25 fleets.
