The purpose of this research is to evaluate existing children shoe products based on Kansei Engineering method, provide best guidance for future children shoe product development, and purpose shoe size system for Indonesian children based on anthropometry study. <br /> <br /> <br /> The evaluation is conducted on both girls shoe product and boys shoe product. Identification of consumer’s feeling and emotion expressed in words through Kansei Engineering was also conducted as a parameter in assessing some product samples. In this research, the total number of participants are 53 people consisting of 22 adults and 31 children for kansei words identification process and 112 adults for filling the questionnaire. The anthropometry measurements of children’s feet were performed on 331 children aged 6 – 10 years old. <br /> <br /> <br /> The results of this research are suggestions for improvement that is the type of product properties which are corresponding with consumer’s feeling and emotion, and proposed shoe size system which is corresponding to Indonesian children’s anthropometry. Children’s shoe size is also proposed based on anthropometry measurements of children’s feet. text |
