It is also a water issue, especially clean water which is more difficult to obtain. We can see it from the Sustainable Development Goals or SDGs which is the agenda of fulfilling the goals globally. One of the target also discusses the availability of water. Indoneisa also participates in the agenda through the 100-0-100 Universal Access initiative program where one of the targets is 100% access to drinking water by 2019. Clean water supply in Indonesia, especially by PDAM only about 68.8 % by 2015. This level of service should be able to meet the goals by 2019 which is soon. However, the government through PDAM can not be fully relied upon in providing clean water. According to Ostrom, a common pool of resources, in this case water, will be more sustainable if managed by local institutions. It can be interpreted that society as the smallest unit and closest to the demand has a potential to be able to manage water supply. But the society itself basically does not have any sufficient competence or capacity in managing. So, we need to know how to make the society as a community can provide clean water in a sustainable manner. Caringin Wetan Village is one of the villages in Sukabumi Regency that has community-based water supply system. However, local people also do not have capastity in managing. Therefore, it is important to know what factors influence the sustainability of community-based clean water management and whether the management in Caringin Wetan Village is in accordance with these factors or not. The research approach is done through qualitative method, using descriptive analysis method, conformity analysis, and simplification analysis. Descriptive analysis method to explain field conditions, conformity analysis to assess its suitability, and simplification analysis for determining factors. Data obtained largely through stakeholder interviews using purposive sampling and snowball. The results of this study are 23 out of 36 indicators not in accordance with the conformity assessment criteria. Broadly speaking, this mismatch is due to unprofessional management such as the lack of management or user rules, user data that does not cover all users, the absence of user-specific sanctions or regulatory mechanisms, the number of free-riders, and other irregularities leads to not ideally manageable. In addition, other discrepancies due to factors related to such inappropriate indicators are absolute. While the indicators that fit in broad outline relating to the conduciveness of inter-community relationships such as social relationships, habits, trust, and communication between communities. The other reason is because it remains the fulfillment of the intent of the factor although the indicator is not exactly the same carefully. text
