Abstract <br /> <br /> <br /> It is inevitable that need of petroleum as world energy source continue to increase. The need of petroleum is strived using enhance oil recovery for produced well. One method to enhance oil recovery is microbial well stimulation. Microbial well stimulation is enhance oil recovery method using chemical compound created by microbes. Various type of microbes have been tested of their ability to increase oil recovery in laboratory and create good result. Microbial well stimulation will be a prospect method to increase oil recovery in old produced wells like Indonesian typical wells. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> The Republic of Indonesia with Regulation of The Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Number 8 of 2017 about Production Sharing Contract Gross Split has given incentives to enhance oil recovery. This incentive is not found in old regulation about Production Sharing Contract Cost Recovery. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Production Sharing Contract Gross Split gives incentive in variable component about five percents of contractor share increase when contractor do tertiary oil recovery including microbial well stimulation. On the other hand, fluctuative oil price is included in progressive component that gives influence in contractor share. However, until now there is hesitation whether the incentive will give profit better than Production Sharing Contract Cost Recovery. By using additional cummulative production data from microbial well stimulation, author will determine best production sharing contract mechanism to apply microbial well stimulation. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> The result imply that Production Sharing Contract Cost Recovery gives higher contractor take than Production Sharing Contract Gross Split both in primary and tertiary production. Variable component in Production Sharing Contract Gross Split of tertiary production that can increase 5% of contractor share is not enough to replace cost recovery that applies in Production Sharing Contract Cost Recovery.
