Beside that, This City also rich with the plantation sector. Realizing the needs of movement has become the key. The existences of alternative inter-connection road is one solution integration of each sector that developed the city. Therefore, the goal of this thesis is to design a new road segment of primary collector road Jalan Raya Luwuk. The design procedure consist of highway geometry, highway drainage systems, pavement structure, installation of traffic signs and road markings, and the drawing of detail engineering design. The geometry design is based on the Planning Procedures of Highways Geometry Bina Marga 1997 and A Policy on Geometric Design of Highways and Streets, AASHTO 2011. The highway drainage system design is based on the Road Drainage System Planning Guidelines PU Pd. T-B-02-2006. Installation of signs and road markings are based on Indonesian Ministry of Transportation Decree No. PM 34 of 2014 about Road Marking and No. PM 13 of 2014 about Traffic Signs on the Road. The design of the road pavement is based on the guidelines of design of the flexible, Bina Marga 2012. This final project will only design from STA. 00 + 000 to STA. 05 + 103 with a length of the road is 5.103 km. This road is designed as a primary collector road with design speed 40 km / h.
