This study evaluated the environmental quality assessment of microbiological aspects in the Building of Environmental Engineering Department, Bandung Institute of Technology. Sampling was done by passive sampling using nutrient agar media. Nutrient agar was left exposed to air for 1 hour in the morning and afternoon to evaluate the number of colonies formed in CFU / plate / h unit. Sampling was conducted during morning and afternoon at two points that was near the window and away from windows. It was intended to observe the difference in microbiological quality of indoor activities as well as before and after the activity and the effect of sample points. At the time of sampling, humidity, temperature and the number of people in the roomt were also measured to evaluate the possible relationship between these factors to the number of microorganisms in the room. The results of the examination showed that that the average number of microorganisms showed greater values in the afternoon. The condition was caused by the lack of activity in the room during the morning. As for the condition of two points sampling, it was shown that point of away from the window performed higher number of microorganisms. Activities of people in the room were generally done around the sampling point away from the window were the causes of higher number of microorganisms on the point away from the window. In addition it was shown that humidity has quite strong relation with microorganisms numbers.
