In this final project, the oil field has two reservoir layers with different characteristics. This difference could be seen clearly from the value of Productivity Index of each layer. This conclusion is obtained after a production logging test is conducted, where the result shows that the upper layer is not contributing in the final production when the two layers are produced simultaneously (commingle). In this final project, two different artificial lift methods are proposed, therefore a comparison between these two methods could be obtained to determine which method is better used in this field of study, compared to the existing artificial method. The proposed methods are the Dual Jet Pump that applies in separate dual string, and Dual ESP that uses additional equipment is called Y-block, as a separator between upper ESP and lower ESP. <br />

To decide which method is the most suitable to be applied in this well, an economic analysis is conducted for the next 10 years. The method that gives the highest NPV value by the end of the 10th year is proposed as the first priority. |
