Summary: | Reflow Oven is one of the machines on the SMT line that serves to soldering SMD components that have been placed on PCB that has been coated with solder paste on the copper path. The Reflow Oven to be created has temperature control system to generate heat according to the specifications at each reflow solder phase.

The designed reflow oven machine is stationary, and will be used for laboratory scale. The oven used is household oven, which is Oven Toaster Kris KLS 215467. The microcontroller used is STM32F446RE-Nucleo. The temperature sensor used is Thermocouple K-Type with Analog-Digital Converter (ADC) MAX6675 module. The AC voltage is regulated by the Solid-State Relay (SSR) MGR-1 D4825.

The temperature control system used is the PID controller. The PID constants of the oven are obtained by the Ziegler-Nichols method. With a GUI interface, both hardware and software will be integrated to be able to set the solder reflow constant to be processed by the PID controller, and monitor the temperature in the oven in realtime.

Oven that has been implemented can perform a solder reflow process for IC Timer 555 on a series of blink LEDs, with cool down process that is still done manually. 80% of soldering ICs can work on the circuit.

This Final Project Book explains the design, implementation, and testing of hardware, software, and integration between of them in the reflow oven machine.
