Bandung is a city that is made of villages which scattered throughout the city, one of which is the Cibunut village located in the Kosambi area, Sumur Bandung district. Cibunut village, especially RW 07, has residents who have been environmentally sounded. One of the ongoing programs is the "Zero Waste" program with one of the activities is to process plastic waste, which has been divided, into handicraft products such as handbags and pouch with crochet and plaiting technique. This high potentials are not directly proportional to the financial advantage gained, because of the less developed design. <br /> <br /> This study started by conducting field studies to Cibunut Village, identifying potentials in Cibunut Villages especially related to handicraft product <br /> <br /> manufacture, studying plastic materials, determining problems, determining solutions, making texture sample experiment with plastic bag and coffee packet <br /> <br /> waste materials, testing the object of the study that is the women in Cibunut Villager, and the last is testing the respondent who are the target market of the final <br /> <br /> product. The purpose of this study is to develop textile structure that was madeby the residents of Cibunut Villagewith crochet and plaiting technique using plastic <br /> <br /> bag and coffe packets waste materials,and making product with experimental crochet and plaiting structure using plastic waste material that could increase aesthatic value and affect the selling value of the product. <br /> <br /> The method of this study uses mix approach of descriptive qualitative and manual experimental quantitative with participatory approach. Data collection technique uses obsevation, interview, literature studies and quesionnares. The results of the <br /> <br /> study shows that by developing the textile structure alternatives, the products that are made of these structured are more preffered to be bought by most of the respondents for its attractive product design, the motifs that appear on the product, the texture that is created from the structure, and the “surprise” effect that appears <br /> <br /> when respondents know the products are made of plastic waste.
