Description
Summary:Geological modeling of primary tin deposits in Batubesi block, east Belitung regency is one of the exploration stages conducted by PT. Timah (Persero) Tbk. Three dimensional (3D) geological modeling is performed by Datamine Studio 3 software, which based on drilling data provided by PT. Timah (Persero) Tbk. This modeling is controlled by correlation of lithology within drillhole data, therefore three geological domains are defined. Those three estimation domains are granite oxide clay, oxide clay, and skarn magnetite. Furthermore, Ordinary Kriging is used to estimate the tin grade for each domain. For comparison, a simulation of Sequential Gaussian Simulation (SGS) method is also performed. The geometry of 3D block applied in this project is 10 m x 10 m x 5 m. In order to support the estimation dan simulation, a variogram analysis is performed to define the nugget variance, sill, and range parameters by Spherical fitting model. Based on the estimation dan simulation results, the resources of tin ore is 3,891,445 ton with average grade 0.41% using Ordinary Kriging and 0.43% using Sequential Gaussian Simulation. Resource classification with both methods provides results with a low level of confidence.
