Summary: | Indonesia's Healthcare Access and Quality Index (HAQ) is currently at 49.2. HAQ index is an index with a scale of 0 to 100 are used to assess the access and quality of health services of a country. The HAQ index is measured by the death rates caused by 32 diseases that can be avoided by high quality, effective, and efficient health services. Indonesia is still far behind when it compared with other Southeast Asian countries. Good health care is always make a patient safety as a priority. Good patient safetiness marked by decreasing rates of medical errors in hospitals. Clinical Information System (CIS) is one of the solutions to improve healthcare services and reducing the number of medical errors. CIS Implementation will be successful if it involves physicians who act as CIS users on their daily activities. A good physician's perspective on CIS is one of the keys to the success of CIS adoption in every hospitals. CIS adoption will not be succeed without any involvement of the physicians in the process. Model development uses a combination of two theoretical models; Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) and Value-Attitude-Behavior (VAB). Both theoretical models are then combined with the social factors described in the institutional theory and factors of physician autonomy. Research analysis units are individual physicians who already used CIS and the physicians who use assistants for their use in their daily work. The research data was obtained by distributing questionnaires to several hospitals in the Java, Sumatra, and Bali islands. Total questionnaires are 321 samples. The data then used to test the conceptual model empirically using structural equation modeling (SEM) using Mplus software. The results of this study indicate that the factors of attitude, subjective norms, and perceived behavior control influenced the intention of CIS. The intention influence the behavior of CIS usage. The most dominant factor affecting the intention of use is the subjective norm. This study also shows that the functional value does not affect the attitude factor on the physicians that applied CIS on their work. Attitude factor is only influenced by social values and emotional values. |
