In the electric ATV motor used in this thesis as an experiment, lithium type of battery is used and this type of battery is relatively expensive. The use of lithium type of battery need to be maintained for longer lifetime and battery performance can be maintained and not quickly damaged. For that reason, supercapacitor is used as a way to keep them in line. Due to the presence of supercapacitor, the over current problems caused by the battery that exceed its standards can be minimized. <br /> <br /> <br /> One type of topology used to overcome the battery and supercapasitor as power distributor on motor which is used is to use bidirectional dc/dc converter. The bidirectional dc/dc converter circuit used is a non-isolated dc/dc converter type, because this type of converter has smaller size so that the problem of path loss using copper and also temperature problem because of the switching can be. In this thesis, the author will explain the design, implementation and testing of dc/dc converter mounted on the ATV electric motor device using lithium polymer type of battery as the main power supply source and the use of supercapacitor as a secondary power supply. text |
