With related to the the developmant of Purwakarta Regency, according to RTRW 2011, the water supply demand also increasing. According to the technical report of PDAM Purwakarta, the existing distribution network plan has fully served about 58,3% of North region that consist of Jatiluhur, Babakan Cikao, Purwakarta, dan Pasawahan, but that does not include Campaka, Bungursari, and Cibatu. Those districts have not been served by pipelines of the PDAM. Therefore, to increase the water supply service of North Region of Purwakarta Regency, it needs alternative distrbution systems that could fulfill the North region of Purwakarta Regency, so that th water demand in amount of 474,84 litres/second can be fulfilled. So the water supply designed to fulfill until 78 % of service rate until the end of year 2031. In planning watr distribution system, the planning should be designed and calculated well in order to fulfill the design criterias and optimized the service Moreover, the investment cost that will be spend for the water supply distribution system is quite expensive so that it is need to be performed selection of the best alternative to made the cost efficiently. To obtain the best alternative, many alternatives are proposed. The best alternatives are selected based on technical considerations, hydraullic and economic. Untuk mendapatkan beberapa alternatif jaringan , maka diajukan beberapalternatif jaringan. Alternatif terpilih berdasarkan pertimbangan teknis, hidrolis, dan ekonomis. Through some assesment study , so it was decided that the 3 zones of raw water sources was the best alternative to supply the north region of Purwakarta. text
