OUTFLOW MANAGEMENT OF CITARUM CASCADE RESERVOIR BASED ON METEOROLOGICAL ANALYSIS

Citarum Basin Reservoir is a series of reservoirs in the Citarum watershed with different main functions. In determining the reservoir operation pattern over the next year, it is needed to have management of the Citarum Caskade Reservoir based meteorological condition analysis in order to fulfill it...

The ENSO can reduce or add 11% to 15% of local inflow of Citarum Cascade Reservoir, IOD 10% to 17%, and teleconection of the ENSO-IOD 10% to 15%. By looking at the different responses in each phenomenon, we uses nine conditions for management. After being simulated in 2016, optimized outflow of dams managed by managers is obtained by 0.4 to 5 times and can avoid losses by preventing runoff in the upper watershed. text
