Description
Summary:Bandung Basin mostly surrounded by quartenary volcanoes. in this landscape condition there will be a lot of hot springs that relate to hydrothermal activities. Altered and formed minerals from their geothermal system become an interesting phenomenon to be investigated. To know which minerals that could be altered and formed, usually solid samples are taken from sub-surface and. PHREEQC software is a computer program that is written using C and C++ programming language that designed to do many variations of geochemical calculations. 14 samples of hot springs and their precipitates were taken from north and south of Bandung Basin. PHREEQC models are able to predict some of sub surface and surface minerals. Lack of ion data from laboratory and mixing between thermal and meteoric water made the results inaccurate.
