industry. Bandung is one of the cities in Indonesia that has vibrant and interesting coffee culture and <br />
<br />
shops. Two Hands Full (THF) is a coffee shop in Bandung that is expanding their business. <br />
<br />
However, over the past year, THF’s employee performance is declining. This situation happens <br />
<br />
because the employee is unsatisfied and demotivated because of the performance evaluation <br />
<br />
(appraisal) system. Incorporating owner’s and employees’ point of view, it is known that the existing <br />
<br />
employee performance appraisal system is not comprehensive, well-structured, and objective. <br />
<br />
Improvement in only performance appraisal system is not able to increase employee performance. <br />
<br />
Therefore, improvement must be made in the overall performance management system to solve this <br />
<br />
problem. <br />

This research aims to improve the performance management system in THF. The improvement is <br />
<br />
started by creating documented and valid job analysis which will be the input for the performance <br />
<br />
appraisal form. The existing performance management system is also reviewed so improvement can <br />
<br />
be made effectively to solve the problem of the existing system. Input from job analysis and improved <br />
<br />
performance management system are used to designed performance appraisal form in Graphic rating <br />
<br />
Scale method. <br />
<br />
The result of the proposed improved job analysis, performance management system, and performance <br />
<br />
appraisal system are compared with the existing system. From the analysis, it can be concluded that <br />
<br />
the improved system is able to eliminate the problem regarding performance appraisal and improve <br />
<br />
employee performance in THF. |
