SYNTHESIS OF BCNO/SiO2 WITH NANOCELLULOSE FROM SUGARCANE BAGASSE FOR WHITE LED TECHNOLOGY
One of the methods to create white LED is to transmit UV light source through phosphor material. This method is widely researched as an alternative solution from using rare-earth material. Phosphor BCNO Silica material is composed by nano cellulose as carbon source from sugarcane bagasse. <br /...

Phosphor BCNO Silica is made using the sol-gel method at 600O C. The precursor is composed by nano cellulose, urea, boric acid, and nano silica. Characterization of phosphor material is conducted using X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM), and Photoluminescence Spectroscopy (PL).
BCNO/SiO2 is successfully synthesized with nanocellulose from sugarcane bagasse as carbon source. The phosphor material is succesfully created as a film for LED implementation. LED with BCNO/SiO2 film produced higher intensity of light emission than UV LED.
