Description
Summary:Soekarno-Hatta Airport became the entry gate of people from various countries to visit Indonesia with various intents and purposes. It affects the traffic and aircraft's movement at the airport. Based on data from AirNav, in 2016 there are at least 1,200 aircraft movements, both take off and landing, at Soekarno-Hatta Airport per day. The number of movements makes Soekarno-Hatta Airport the world's 12th busiest airport by Airport Council International (ACI).

The purpose of this research is first, to model and simulate the movement of aircraft taxiway in Soekarno-Hatta Airport. From this simulation we will get time when the aircraft in taxiing, the number of density at several points of intersection, and the number of aircraft taxi in and taxi out. Second, to evaluate the factors that cause the queue at several taxiway points. Third, to make improvements to the existing taxiing route to reduce the density at some point in the queue area.

The results of this study can be used by airport authorities to evaluate the factors that cause traffic in the airport taxiway so that for the future can be a reference in the scheduling of departure / arrival of the aircraft, the addition of airport facilities such as taxiways, aprons, etc., and can determine the route taxiing so the overall taxiing time of the aircraft can be trimmed.
