Description
Summary:The Patimban Port where is located in Subang, West Java, was built based on several consideration such as reducing the logistic cost, providing alternative port capable to handle 70% of cargo in North Java, reducing traffic jam in Jakarta, also ensuring the safety of oil and gas exploration activities in offshore north west java. The Patimban Port will be international hub port, serving general container with 7,5 million TEUs in ultimate demand , 577.640 CBUs vehicle, and liquid bulk . The wharf structure of Patimban Port is designed to be open deck on pile structure with diagonal member across vertical piles known as strut. In this Final Project, this strut type wharf will be compared to a common type of deck on pile wharf whitout strut nor diagonal member piled to seabed. The comparison is done by modelled both of the structures with SAP200 in the ecxactly same loads. The calculation of forces applied to the structure and the dimension of the warf are based on OCDI. The strucutre definition is based on SNI 03-2847-2013. The soil bearing capacity calculation is also done in order to check how long the pile needed to be piled to the ground. The compared parameters refer to the capacity rasio parameters such as UCR and PMMratio in a equal number. The number of UCR and PMMratio must be between 0,7 to 0,95 so the structure will not be overdesigned structure and still in the safe condition. The dimension of the strucutre like the wharf length, width, and elevation are designed based on The Masterplan of Patimban Port and the diameter of piles, length of beam along with the width and its height are results of modelling iteration. The final conclusions of this Final Project is dimensional comparison, also cover the material used to build both of the structure, the number of internal force (shear, moment, and axial forces), and maximum deflection of the structure. <br />
