By this time, observation technology of the road condition is growing, one is Hawkeye that utilizes a camera and developed through a program called IRAP (International Road Assessment Programme) which results star rating and handling of a road section that is assessed based on certain factors. <br /> <br /> Factors that determine the type of treatment that is based on the data base is the result of research from countries outside Indonesia, and will certainly give results that are not necessarily appropriate treatment of the RSI (Road Safety Inspection) applicable and used in Indonesia. <br /> <br /> This can be shown on the national road-Madiun Ngawi, in which the determination of the type of treatment between IRAP and RSI give different results. Not all treatment recommendations that resulted by iRAP such as additional lanes with a median safety barrier, lane of motorcycle, pedestrian pathways on and others can be applied based on the availability of land, road geometric conditions, the volume of vehicles, the cost of improvement and movement of pedestrians. In some parts, equality of improvement contained in the delineation, pavement damage, objects that obstruct visibility and the school crossing supervisor assessed according to needs at RSI. <br /> <br /> That is very important to get appropriate treatment to Indonesian conditions become an important inputfor developing of elected treatment so that the treatment can be applied and can be used as input in the development of database on the components IRAP text
