Summary:Medan city needs a public facility, and one of them is “Ibu dan Anak” hospital (RSIA). RSIA is a special hospital that serve mother and child patient. The building will be built consist of north and south building. South building of RSIA Medan consist of 1 basement floor, 3 upstairs, and roof with a building height of 21.3 meters from basement. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> RSIA Medan construction site has a medium soil condition and high seismic acceleration. The building is an importan building with category of risk IV so that the building has a Seismic Design Category D (SDC D). The building design to be an earthquake-resistant structure with seismic force resitant system used is Special Moment Frame (SMF). <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Structural modeling using ETABS 2015 software with earthquake analysis procedures in the form of spectrum response analysis. Structural modeling and analysis refers to SNI 1726: 2012. The story drift check is satisfied and the P-delta effect does not need to be activated. The building does not have vertical irregularities but has horizontal irregularities in the form of irregular inner angle and torque. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> The design of structural elements refers to SNI 2847: 2012 for beams, slabs, and columns. Column design using PCACOL software and slab design using SAFE software.
