Description
Summary:North Seribu Trough is one of Northwest Java Sub-basin in which has been an oil producer area in Talangakar Formation interval which has reached maximum recovery factor. Reservoirs in Late Oligocene Talangakar Formation interval were primary production zone, whereas Early Oligocene Talangakar Formation interval are still in exploration evaluation process.

This study is intended to define new insight about Talangakar Formation in Early Oligocene using integrated analysis. Several well data analysis have been done such as lithofacies analysis, facies association and stratigraphic correlation. Whereas seismic data analysis has been done including structural interpretation with the results are depth structure map, isopach map, seismic facies analysis such as internal seismic pattern configuration and seismic attribute analysis.

Integrated analysis resulted from well and seismic data are being used as input to define depositional model. Exploration concept in Talangakar Formation interval of Early Oligocene are based on depositional model to determine reservoirs potential and distribution which contained hydrocarbon.

Based on those several analysis, Early Oligocene Talangakar Formation in North Seribu Trough Sub-basin determined as evolution of lacustrine deposits with the source of the sediments came from lake delta deposit and lake shoreline deposit from Seribu Platform to depocenter of the lake. Beside that, there is alluvial fan deposit in border fault which deposited in the center of the lake. Reservoir potential approximately are sandstone deposits from those three depositional environment which occured in North Seribu Trough Sub-basin.
