Description
Summary:Inflow Performance Relationship (IPR) is represented the production behavior of a well at the certain time. The curve is obtained by plotting flow rate versus flowing pressure. IPR curve is an important tool to determine the capability of a well to produce from reservoir. To date, most of IPR methods were developed based on Vogel’s, Fetkovich’s, and Sukarno’s. Unfortunately, a method that represent behavior of a well which affected by surrounding wells is unavailable.

In general, most of current IPR methods only represent behavior of well without consider the effect of the surrounding wells. This conditon could lead to an optimistic performance curve. Therefore, this research is conducted in order to evaluate productivity of an object well considering the effect from surrounding wells.

Good IPR method has to be able to represent the well’s ability to produce from the reservoir accurately. However since reservoirs conditions are variative, IPR methods have some limitations and some assumptions have to be made to meet certain reservoir condition. Therefore, it is required to evaluate the effect from surrounding wells to the IPR of an object well, as practically most of reservoirs are produced from more than a single well.

This research will study how the surrounding wells will influence the IPR of an object well when all the wells are produced at the same time.
