Summary: | Coal Bed Methane (CBM) has great potential as a global resource because the world contains abundant reserves of gas, and CBM reserves in Indonesia is one of the largest CBM reserves in the world. Currently, state reserves are estimated to be approximately 453 (TCF). Reservoir (X) has a relatively small / tight permeability of about 10 md, causing small cumulative gas production, from well data (X) obtained OGIP 4.30 BCF and cumulative gas production value of 15 MMscf indicates a very small recovery factor of 0.35% with large OGIP so well (X) is potential for Hydraulic fracturing. The hydraulic fracture parameter for this CBM reservoir multi layer uses MLFP3D model with 15 bpm injection rate, 20/40 proppant concentration of 10 ppa, using Primefrac-20 fracturing fluid and obtained a fracture length of 561.9 ft. From the simulator, if the simulation for 30 years to come this well has a cumulative gas of 15 MMscf, and has recovery factor of 0.35%, while if the well hydraulic fracturing cumulative gas for 30 years has increased by 50.68 MMscf, so the simulator results show That the cumulative gas increased more than threefold when the hydraulic fracturing was done, with recovery factor of 1.18%. |
