Description
Summary:Seismic waves traveling through inelastic media are attenuated by the conversion of elastic energy

into heat. At being attenuated the traveling wave experiment some distortions: amplitudes are

reduced, traveling waveform is changed due to high frequency content absorption, and phase is

delayed.Inverse Q Filtering is one methods used in seismic processing to eliminated attenuation

effect like energy dissipation and velocity dispersion from seismic wave. In this study, Inverse QFiltering

applied to synthetic data and also seismic data 2-D for compensate attenuation process

and velocity dispersion.
