| Summary: | The study of stress concentrations near-wellbore during the exploration of oil and gas industry is the very important for enabling safe drilling. The study of stress concentrations near boreholes is an important study to estimate stress distributions on subsurface. The stress concentration is affected by a principal in-situ stress and pore pressure. Investigating stress concentrations near-borehole is done by developing various MATLABTM based analytical programs and creating numerical models derived from Lekhnitskii-Amadei (L-A). The stress concentrations near-wellbore is influenced by pore pressure, wellbore pressure and in-situ stress. |
