FBD method designs buildings using static equivalent analysis, respon various analysis, and elastic design parameters such as stiffness and respon modification factor which is the representation of structure ductility level and overstrength structure. The result of the analysis is designed seismic force which was then distributed to each story to achieve the displacement. While, in DDBD method, the determination of the displacement design is determined in the beginning of the design thus structure damages can be contolled. DDBD method designs building by establishing substitute structure concept which is made in the usage of effective parameter, ductility and equivalent viscous damping. This method uses the first yield displacement in its iteration process. <br />

This final paper only observe lateral seismic load in anti seismic reinforcement concrete open portal structure which has many stories. A structure of an office building which is designed with FBD and DDBD methods, then using SRPMK related to its reinforcement detailing. Static pushover analysis is used to evaluate the building performance achievement towards the structure seismic behavior. <br />

Building which is designed with DDBD method give result to the performance level which is suitable first target of design, thus needs less iteration compared to FBD method. Besides that, DDBD method uses parameters in elastic and inelastic conditions while FBD method only uses parameters in elastic condition. |
