This is a highly developed area, can be seen from the density of population and the number of facilities in the area. <br /> <br /> <br /> Less optimal drainage and land conversion into building area causing flood. Flood often causing traffic jams and economic losses in Gegerkalong Subdistrict. Based <br /> <br /> <br /> on runoff calculations with rational method and existing condition there are six major problems, such as no drainage channel, insufficient channel capacity, <br /> <br /> <br /> channel covered by solid waste, channel narrowing, buildings on top of the channel, and inlet filled by solid waste.Problems can be solved by duct cleaning, <br /> <br /> <br /> public education, rain water conservation, and channel development. Minor channel development calculated with 5 years rainfall return period , and 25 years rainfall return periode for a major channel. The results of the hydrological analysis show 95.095 mm/h rainfall intensity for 5 years return period, and 102 mm/h for <br /> <br /> <br /> 25 years return period All of the channels lead to Cibeureum River and CikadalMeteng River. Channels designed rectangular shaped with equipment such <br /> <br /> <br /> as 152 culverts, 12 outfall, and channel cascade. For conservation, 13 units rainwater harvesting facilities will be built in several public facilities such as <br /> <br /> <br /> swimming pool, schools, mosques, church, and government office . text
