Description
Summary:In reservoir characterization, one method that can express the effect of rock physics parameter as a response from lithology or fluid changing is AVO (Amplitude Variation with Offset) Analysis. AVO Analysis method is very efficient in determination of thin gas sand dissemination above tuning resolution. In this study, area of interest is placed in Jabung Block, South Sumatra basin, which has special structural and stratigraphic character. The object formation, Upper Talang Akar, is a deltaic depositional environment. This formation has thin interbedding shale-sandstone layers that make a high frequency-noise seismic record with non-sensitive physics parameter for seeking the dissemination. When the physics parameter can not be used directly to analyze the dissemination and the thickness is below the tuning resolution, we need another method to analyze the dissemination of this thin gas sand, so we used seismic attribute analysis method that can extract any contribution from a single frequency in the data volume with certain normalization (iso-frequency). The multi-attribute analysis is used to enhance the lateral map that can not express any vertical dissemination.
