The purpose of this study is to find out whether physical-chemical properties variations of Hurun Bay not only effected by seasonal variations but also influenced by ENSO and IODM phenomenon. This study uses salinity, sea surface temperature, dissolved oxygen, pH, DIN and phosphate as main data with four years long from 2010 – 2013 on two stations. <br /> <br /> <br /> Based on data processing results for both stations, Kyoko station has SST range 29.1 - 30 0C station, salinity range 31.3 - 32.7 ppt , DO range 5.8 - 6.2 ppm, pH range 7.8 - 8.2, DIN range 0.060 - 0.213 ppm and phosphate range 0.001-0.067 ppm. Meanwhile for Lahu Island station SST range 29.6 - 30.5 0C, salinity range 31.3 - 32.7 ppt, DO range 6.1 - 6.6 ppm, pH range 8.0 – 8.1, DIN range 0.006 - 0.046 ppm and phosphate range 0.001-0.027 ppm. These results supported by auxiliary spatial data with 21 samples obtained on Teluk Hurun. The data shows a similarity in range with the main data. <br /> <br /> <br /> Variation of physical-chemical properties on Hurun Bay water from January 2010 until December 2013 shows it's characteristic has indirect influenced from 2010 - 2013 IODM phenomenon. 2010 - 2013 IODM slightly effects precipitation on Hurun Bay water. ENSO phenomenon in 2010 - 2013 has weak influence towards SST variation on Hurun Bay. In overall, Hurun Bay characteristic is strongly depends on monsoonal condition, precipitation and anthropogenic activities. text |
