Description
Summary:Indonesia's oil reserves continue to decrease every year. The amount of oil produced is greater when compared to the amount of new reserves found. To overcome this imbalance, various efforts have been made by the government in improving oil lifting. In addition to exploration activities, other efforts that can be done to improve oil lifting is through enhanced oil recovery (EOR). Enhanced oil recovery is a method used to increase oil reserves in a well by raising the volume of oil that was previously unavailable, so that this method is able to maintain and provide for national oil and gas needs. As fossil energy consumption increases, more emissions from oil and gas combustion lead to greenhouse gases, especially carbon dioxide, which is growing in number in the atmosphere.

Therefore, a method is needed to prevent and control CO2 emissions. Recently developed countries have developed a Carbon Capture Storage (CCS) method to control CO2 emissions, Carbon Capture Storage is a method of capturing and storing CO2 which includes the following steps: capturing CO2, removing CO2, and storing CO2.

This final project is designed to discuss the design of surface facilities of enhanced oil recovery and Carbon Capture Storage on lapngan X, the design of surface facilities is done by determining the components of the tools on the surface to support the EOR and CCS processes in accordance with field conditions so that CO2 can be injected optimally and economical. CO2 gains are injected into the reservoir by reducing CO2 emissions and increasing oil production.
