Summary: | Agricultural geophysical surveys are still fairly new and important parameters of agricultural geophysical surveys are soil properties. Soil surveys in geophysics typically use resistivity method, electromagnetic induction method (EMI), and Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) because they are fast and can estimate many soil properties, such as salinity, rock content, and groundwater depth, but these methods can not provide information about the variation of land properties in a soil profile. The wenner array is one of the most frequently used arrays for measuring shallow superficial resistivity. The wenner array can easily calculate the apparent resistivity of the soil in an area and the sensitivity of the instrument is not as important in other array geometries. A relatively small current quantity is required to measure the potential difference. The disadvantage of the wenner array is that in each measurement, all electrodes must be moved to a new position. In general the instrumentation of the resistivity method for ground mapping using cables because these instruments can be used for various arrays, HUMA EC 1 is designed only to measure shallow soil resistivity and with HUMA EC 1 we can measure shallow soil properties more quickly, easily and inexpensive. In this study I will measure the soil properties in Kampung Padi and in Padaasih area with OYO McOHM and HUMA EC 1, and correlate the results of both soil resistivity data, so we will know whether this area is good for agriculture. |
