DRAINAGE SYSTEM PLANNING FOR OIL AND GAS INDUSTRIAL AREA IN BALIKPAPAN CITY

The growing development of the Balikpapan City has led to a higher rate of infrastructure development. One of them is industrial area. The development of industrial area resulted land use changes so that green space is getting smaller. Decrease of the green space may cause flood potential. In case of flooding in the industrial area, the productivity will be disrupted. Therefore, it is necessary to plan a system that can prevent flooding in industrial areas. This oil and gas industrial area in <br /> <br /> Balikpapan City has a total area of 250 km2 with the area of the planned drainage system will be 1,1 km2. The drainage system is divided into six blocks, namely the <br /> <br /> northern, northwest, west, southwest, south 1, and south 2 blocks. The drainage system covers 260 segments with a total length of 43,3 km, as well as retention plans. Drainage planning starts from determining service debits to channel dimensions. Finally, the results of the analysis are simulated using the Storm Water Management Model (SWMM) software to determine whether or not the flood occurs in industrial areas.
