Water Treatment Plant Dekeng is one of WTP owned by PDAM Tirta Pakuan Bogor. Dekeng WTP is located at Jalan Raya Dekeng No.5, Genteng, Bogor Sel., Bogor City, West Java. Dekeng WTP has 5 service areas at Bogor Timur, Central Bogor, Bogor Utara, Tanah Sareal, and West Bogor sub-district. The raw water source of Dekeng WTP is Cisadane River. The annual population growth in Bogor City makes WTP Dekeng must increase its production capacity. Dekeng WTP has 2 installations, WTP I with capacity of 1000 L/s and WTP II with a capacity of 400 L/s. The combination of water production of these two installations could increase the capacity up to 10 years ahead in 2027 with the total need of clean water is 1812.36 L/s. To be able to meet the clean water needs of Bogor City’s community, especially in Dekeng WTP service area, the processing capacity of WTP II will be increased to 1000 L/s. As the result of evaluating the existing condition of Dekeng WTP, it is not possible to uprate the existing WTP without creating a new filtration unit. Therefore, Dekeng WTP must make 5 of new filtration unit with the same dimensions as well as the existing filtration unit. To uprate the water treatment plant, disinfection and reservoir units do not have to be new because the existing condition is sufficient. The total initial investment required of Dekeng WTP uprating project is Rp 9,316,812,298.
