The stored file might be accessed by a hacker, the webrive itself, and <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> the government. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> To make sure that our file is safe from unauthorized access, the file can be encrypted <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> before upload. The process of encrypting file before upload is called pre-internet <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> encryption (PIE). PIE is a tedious process and it is prone to human error if done <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> manually. Therefore, it should be done with the help of an application. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Nowadays, there exists many applications that helps in the PIE process. There even <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> exists applications that is integrated with public webdrive. Unfortunately, existing <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> applications are dependent on the operating system and have a different user <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> experience as the webdrive. That is why, in this final project, we will build a PIE <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> application as a browser extension that has same user experience as the webdrive's <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> webclient. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> It is concluded from the test results that the developed application is doing PIE <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> process correctly. But, the memory usage of the application is still high. From the <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> result of analysis, it is known that the application is still susceptible to attacks from <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> malicious webdrive modification, encryption key attack with stored HMAC digest, <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> folder password attack, and advanced phishing attack.
