Description
Summary:Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) is one of implementation of informatics and electronics technology in transportation. ITS are intended to enhance traffic management to be more effective and efficient. One of important component in ITS is sensor system which can monitor road traffic and other crucial aspect affecting road safety and comfort. This consists of surveillance of amount or type of vehicle passing through certain area. This data later can be exploited in many applications such as area surveillance and road load research. In this project will be created a device that can detect, classify, and accumulate several vehicle object captured by a camera sensor in realtime. The device consists of a camera on a smartphone connected to a computer as digital image processor. On computer, Processing IDE is used to create a program to process and extract the image and shows detection results of the vehicle in the image sequences. In this data extraction we used background substraction technique with moving average method to get the shape of object. This object later be classified using cross correlation equation. The program then will show the detection, classification, and accumulation result for each object. The test result shows the maximum limit of detected object was 75 km/h and detection accuration of the device was 92%. <br />
