Summary: | Jakarta City State Capital makes its presence as the city is a node of economic activity in the surrounding region. The high demand for service accessibility to the movement of vehicles and limited area, demanding an increase in network services. Flyover infrastructure development is one of the efforts made by the Government of Jakarta. However, it has a negative impact or nuisance to the surrounding environment, i.e. increased traffic, decrease environmental aesthetics, increased air pollution, increased noise, vibration onset, obstruction of natural lighting, and a reduced number of plants in the environment around flyover.
This study aims to develop a design control for flyover corridor with case studies Non-Toll Flyover (JLNT) Antasari-Blok M that considers the interference with the approach of community perceptions and preferences. Step used is to formulate aspects to consider (issue of concern), namely health, comfort, safety, beauty, accessibility, and the components that need to be set (scope of issue) that is composed of above the flyover area, flyover structures, underneath flyover area, pedestrian paths, land and buildings, with a description of the method and the study of literature and identify community perceptions and preferences with questionnaires and interviews with relevant institution. The final step is to develop a design control for flyover corridor area in the form of performance standards.
The results showed that people who inhabit the buildings along the flyover corridor disrupted by the presence of JLNT Antasari-Blok M. Dominant interference by public perception is the increased noise, increased air pollution, and loss of trees. Design control in the flyover corridor with performance standards which are mandatory and recommended be made to minimize nuisance. It is determined either in the public areas which is on flyover and pedestrian, or in a private area, which is on land and buildings. Design control include an absortive barrier installation, greening, and the setting of building typology. |
